MCP-first · AI agents

Run your bookings from Claude, ChatGPT or any AI agent

BookClock has a built-in MCP server. Connect your AI assistant once and ask it for what you would do in the dashboard: check tomorrow, book a client, close a holiday, review a deposit receipt. It acts as you, under the same rules as the dashboard, and shows you anything important before it happens.

Server address

https://bookclock.app/mcp

Paste it in your AI app. It asks you to sign in to BookClock and allow the connection.

Ana Pérez

Shall I go ahead?

Yes, go ahead.

Done: cancelled, and Ana has the notice. 17:00 is free again.

A change that writes to a client: the preview first, then your OK.

Connect in two minutes

You need a BookClock business account and an AI app that supports remote MCP servers. Every app below signs in with OAuth: you never paste a password or a key into it.

Claude

claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the mobile apps

  1. Open Settings → Connectors.

  2. Choose “Add custom connector”, name it BookClock and paste the server address.

  3. Click Add, then Connect. Sign in to BookClock with your business account and press Allow.

  4. The connector now works on claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude for iOS and Android. In a chat, check that BookClock is on in the tools menu.

On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner may need to add the connector for the organization first.

ChatGPT

chatgpt.com and the desktop app

  1. Open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.

  2. Back in Apps & Connectors, choose Create.

  3. Name it BookClock, paste the server address as the MCP server URL and choose OAuth as the authentication.

  4. Click Create, sign in to BookClock and press Allow. In a new chat, add BookClock from the + menu.

Claude Code

the terminal and IDE extensions

  1. Add the server with this command:

    shell
    claude mcp add --transport http bookclock https://bookclock.app/mcp
  2. Then run /mcp in Claude Code, pick bookclock and sign in in the browser that opens.

Cursor

the editor

  1. In Cursor Settings, add a new MCP server with this address, or put this in ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

    ~/.cursor/mcp.json
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "bookclock": {
          "url": "https://bookclock.app/mcp"
        }
      }
    }
  2. Cursor shows the server as needing a login: click it, sign in to BookClock and press Allow.

VS Code

with GitHub Copilot in agent mode

  1. Run “MCP: Add Server” from the Command Palette and choose HTTP, or put this in .vscode/mcp.json:

    .vscode/mcp.json
    {
      "servers": {
        "bookclock": {
          "type": "http",
          "url": "https://bookclock.app/mcp"
        }
      }
    }
  2. Start the server when VS Code offers to, sign in to BookClock and press Allow. Use it from Copilot Chat in agent mode.

Any MCP client

with OAuth support

  1. Give it the server address. It finds the sign-in on its own (OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration and PKCE) and sends you to BookClock to allow it.

  2. No OAuth in your client or script? Use a token, below.

Tokens, for scripts and clients without OAuth

In BookClock, open Settings → AI agents (MCP) and create a token. It is shown once: keep it like a password. Send it with every request in this header. A token works until you revoke it, and an account can have up to 20.

Using BookClock from Shopify? Your account has a password you never chose: set one with “Forgot password” at bookclock.app/login, then connect.

Authorization: Bearer <your token>

What your agent can do

50 tools cover everything you do in the dashboard. 21 of them only read; the rest change something, and your AI app can ask you before each one.

Try asking

Plain requests work. A few to start with:

  • What do I have tomorrow, and where are the gaps?
  • Book Ana Pérez for a haircut on Thursday at 5 pm and send her the confirmation.
  • I’m closed on the 24th for the holiday. Block the whole day.
  • Review the deposit receipts waiting for me and tell me which ones match my bank details.
  • How many no-shows did I have this month, and which day of the week is busiest?

Ready-made prompts

BookClock also offers three prompts your AI app can list in its prompt or slash-command menu:

  • /organizar_agenda_de_manana

    Get tomorrow’s agenda in order: bookings, gaps, deposits and who won’t get a reminder.

  • /revisar_senas_pendientes

    Go through pending deposit receipts and unpaid deposits, and propose what to do with each.

  • /configurar_negocio_nuevo

    Set up a new business to take bookings: profile, services, hours and the booking link.

Safe by design

The agent is you, with fewer powers than you have in the dashboard, and nothing important happens without your OK.

  • You sign in, you approve

    Connecting opens BookClock’s own page: you sign in, see which app is asking, what it will be able to do and where it goes back to, and press Allow. Your AI app never sees your password.

  • Reads and changes are kept apart

    Every tool says whether it only reads or changes something, so your AI app can let reads through and ask you before every change.

  • A preview before anything that matters

    Anything that touches money, writes to a client or can’t be undone answers with a preview first, and happens only when you confirm. If an agent changes your bank details, you also get an email.

  • No money moves

    An agent can’t charge, refund or pay anyone. For your plan it only hands you the payment link, which you open and pay yourself. Recording a deposit means noting one a client already paid.

  • Out of reach

    An agent can’t change your password, delete your account or create tokens: those stay in the dashboard, with you.

  • Revoke anytime

    Settings → AI agents (MCP) lists every connected app and token; revoke one and it stops working at once. Changing your password or signing out everywhere disconnects them all. A connection’s sign-in lasts an hour and renews while you use it; unused for 90 days, it expires.

What your AI app gets to see

Whatever an agent reads goes to the AI app you connected, and through it to that app’s provider (Anthropic for Claude, OpenAI for ChatGPT, and so on), under their terms. That includes your clients’ personal data: their names, phone numbers, emails, booking notes and deposit receipts.

Connect only apps you trust with that data. BookClock doesn’t receive your conversations: only the tool calls, which run as you, under the same rules as the dashboard.

For developers

  • Transport: Streamable HTTP (JSON-RPC over POST), stateless.
  • Authorization: OAuth 2.1 with dynamic client registration and PKCE (S256), or a Bearer token from Settings.
  • Discovery: the 401 from the server points to https://bookclock.app/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/mcp
  • Panel API reference for agents (in Spanish)
