No vendemos datos personales.

Tus derechos y contacto

BookClock is an appointment booking service for professionals and businesses, available at bookclock.app and as an app for Shopify stores. This policy explains which personal data we process, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it and how you can have it deleted.

Data we process

Professionals and businesses: account email, business name, service details, image, hours and settings. In the Shopify app, also: the store’s domain, name, email and time zone, and an access token to the store, which we store encrypted.

People who book: name, email, phone and note if they leave them, the date and time of the booking, the service, language, and any deposit receipts they upload (bookclock.app only). When a Shopify store charges for a booking, the payment is made in that store’s checkout: we keep the amount, the currency and the order number, never card details. Customer accounts on bookclock.app also store their email and a hashed password.

Technical data: IP address, used to limit abuse and kept for a limited time in server logs.

Why we use it

To provide the service: show available times, record bookings, send confirmations, reminders and cancellation notices, and notify the professional of new bookings if they turned that on.

In the Shopify app, each person who books from the store is created or updated as a customer in that merchant’s Shopify admin, tagged "BookClock" with the date of their latest booking. They are not subscribed to any marketing.

When the store charges for a booking, we create a draft order in its Shopify with the booking and the name and email of the person booking, so they pay in the store’s checkout, and we read that order’s payment notice to confirm the booking.

To bill subscriptions (on Shopify, through Shopify’s billing) and to keep the service secure.

Who is responsible for what

Each professional or store is the controller of their customers’ data, and BookClock processes it on their behalf to provide the service. If you booked an appointment, you can ask the professional or store for your data or its deletion; you can also contact us.

Who we share it with

The professional or store you book with. Providers we rely on to operate: hosting and infrastructure (DigitalOcean), email delivery (SendGrid), payments (Stripe and MercadoPago on bookclock.app; Shopify in its app) Shopify, for stores using the app, and Google, to measure how the site is used (Google Analytics) and, if you accept cookies, to tell which ads bring new accounts (Google Ads). We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

For as long as the professional’s account is active. On Shopify: when the app is uninstalled we delete the access token immediately, and 48 hours later we delete all of the store’s data and bookings, when Shopify asks us to. When a store asks us to delete one of its customers’ data, we delete that customer’s bookings with that store.

Links to manage a booking without an account expire and are deleted. Technical logs are kept for a limited time.

Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed, Shopify access tokens are stored encrypted, and payment receipts can only be seen by the professional and the person who uploaded them.

Cookies

Without asking, because the site needs them to work, bookclock.app uses a session cookie to keep you signed in, one that remembers the language if you choose it, and one that remembers your answer to the cookie notice.

Only if you accept the cookie notice: Google Analytics sets its cookies to measure how the site is used, and if you arrived from a Google ad we keep the id of that click (gclid) in a cookie for up to 90 days. If you then create an account, that id is stored with it so we can tell which ads bring new accounts and report them to Google Ads; it is used for nothing else. If you do not accept, Google Analytics runs without cookies and we keep no click id. You can change your answer at any time from "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page; rejecting deletes a stored click id.

The app inside the Shopify admin and the booking widget in stores do not use tracking cookies.

Your rights and contact

You can request access to, correction of or deletion of your data by writing to sales@devcloudsoftware.com. We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
